Our client wanted the atmosphere of the garden to be one that was welcoming and inviting, full of beautiful scents, lush green planting and a little on the wild side.

In order to create the sense of an invitation we designed an ornamental woodchip path to lead the eye of the visitor through the planting to the entrance of the house.

Evergreen shrubs of varying heights with drifts of bulbs and herbaceous perennials planted throughout the garden provide vibrant colour in Spring through to Autumn. The colour palette is orange, yellows and pinks contrasting with zingy fresh greens and some structural multi-stem shrubs to give structure to the looser planting.

The ground is carpeted with low growing herbaceous and evergreen shrubs and a wave of spring bulbs. In order to soften the hard landscaping that dominated the exterior of the house we created additional flower beds under the front room window full of ferns and climbers to soften the front of the house.

Warm Welcome Home
