Goldfinch Garden Design began in a garden shed. Friends for years, we’d often spend time in Rona’s garden - and shed -  but it wasn’t until 2022 that we talked about starting a business together. 

Bringing together our shared love of plants and our qualifications, Professional Gardener and L1 Garden Design, we began as a small garden maintenance company. We then both went on to study for Diplomas in Garden Design at Capel Manor College's Regent’s Park Campus specialising in Planting Design.

And over 3 years, while studying, we grew a small seed of an idea into a flourishing garden design and maintenance company with lovely clients all over South East London.

Along the way, we’ve been proud to receive a Platinum Award for our show garden at Gardeners’ World Live in 2024. We’ve also loved working with our local school, Cypress Primary, helping to create a garden and outdoor learning space supporting the introduction of gardening into the curriculum for all pupils.

Our mission is simple: to inspire people to love and enjoy their outdoor spaces, no matter how big or small.
